What will the decals look like?
VinylDecalStore.com sells computer cut vinyl decals. The image is cut from the vinyl and the area around the image is removed. When the decal is applied, the image will be left on the surface giving the impression that the image has been painted onto the surface in the color selected. We use high performance calendered vinyl with a high gloss finish with outdoor durability of six years (4 years for metallics, 7 years for etched glass).
What is the decal made out of?
VinylDecalStore.com uses high performance, self adhesive, calendered vinyl with a high gloss finish with outdoor durability of six years (4 years for metallics, 7 years for etched glass). We only use top of the line materials to ensure the finished product is of the highest quality.
What are the differences in decal quality?
VinylDecalStore.com uses only high performance, self adhesive, calendered vinyl with a high gloss finish with outdoor durability of six years. Lower quality materials fade, shrink and crack, and we want to keep your decal looking good for years so that will just not do.
How long will my decal last?
The vinyl that we use is rated for six years of outdoor durability. Factors that can reduce the life expectancy of your decal include chronic exposure to sunlight and harsh chemicals.
Can I remove the decal?
Vinyl decals can be easily removed. Decals applied to glass surfaces can be removed using a razor blade. Decals can also be removed by heating the decal with a hairdryer and using your fingernail to peel the decal. To remove any adhesive residue, you can use Tar and Bug removers or a glue remover. Before using any of these products, TEST IT to make sure it does not damage your paint.
What size decal should I get?
Use a tape measure to estimate the width and height you would like for your decal. All decals are measured by the width of the decal and are not measured by the height of the individual letters. The most common size for a sports decal on the back glass is 7 inches wide and 7 or 8 inches tall depending on the text options selected. If you are ordering a windshield decal, please make sure the decal will fit on your vehicle before ordering. Please see our cancellation policy for questions about refunds.
What if I need a different sizes than the ones listed?
If you need a specific size to fit within a certain area, please order the next size up and let us know when you place the order that you have specific size requirements. During the checkout process there will be a box for Order Notes, please put "SPECIFIC SIZE REQUIRED: XX x XX" in this box so we know to size the image. Please provide an email address that you check often so that we can contact you if we have any questions.
Do you have a printable catalog?
New products are constantly being added to our selection, and it would be difficult to maintain an up to date printable catalog. Visit our the website often for the latest additions.
Are there any laws against decals on vehicles?
Most decals are legal as long as they do not block the driver's view of the road, but different states have different regulations regarding decal placement. If you are concerned, you should check your local laws before purchasing a decal!
Do the decals damage glass or painted surfaces?
Vinyl decals will not permanently damage painted surfaces or windows. Since the decal shields the surface under the decal from sunlight, decals left on for extended periods of time can leave an unfaded area under the decal once removed. To prevent this, keep your car waxed to prevent the paint from fading.
Do the decals effect the rear window defroster?
No. Decals will not effect the functionality of the rear window defroster.
Do the decals damage window tint?
As long as the decal is installed on the exterior surface of the glass, the decal will not effect window tint that is installed on your vehicle. Since the decal shields the tint under the decal from sunlight, decals left on for extended periods of time can leave an unfaded area under the decal once removed.
Can I clear coat over my decal?
Although you can can clear coat over decals, we would encourage you to consider the consequences. Once a decal has been clear coated, it is permanently attached and must be sanded off.
Can you make a custom decal for my team?
Yes, we make custom decals! Contact us with a description of the decal you would like to create, and we will get you a quote. If you have a suggestion for a decal design, please let us know. We are always looking for new ideas to add to our collection.
Can I design my own decal?
Yes. Every decal is a custom creation! You select the decal you want, customize it with your text, select the font style, and see what your decal will look like immediately. If you don't see what you want in our online catalog contact us with a suggestion or request a quote for a custom design.
Do you make multiple color decals?
VinylDecalStore.com currently offers only one color vinyl decals.
SHIPPING
How long will it take to receive my order?
It depends on when you place your order and what type of shipping you select. Orders are mailed out each Friday, and orders received before Wednesday at 5pm CST will be mailed out the following Friday. Orders received after Wednesday at 5pm CST will be mailed out the following Friday. At checkout, you will have the option of selecting either standard or express shipping. How is my order shipped?

How much is shipping?
Standard Shipping using USPS Priority (2-3 days) is $4.95 for orders under $75 and orders $75 and over are FREE. Express Shipping using USPS Express (overnight to most locations) is $23.95 for orders under $75 and $28.95 for orders $75 and over. Please view our Shipping Policy for more information.
How will I know when my order has shipped?
Once your order has shipped, we will email tracking information to the email address provided at checkout. If you don't receive the shipping confirmation, it is likely that an invalid email address was provided at checkout. You can also log in to vinyldecalstore.com to view the status of your order.
What if I received tracking information but I never received my order?
If you received tracking information and you haven't received your order within ten business of the shipping date, please contact us.
Why haven't I received my order?
Please see our production schedule and shipping policy for an estimated delivery time. Please allow up to 10 days for delivery. If you feel you should have received your order and have not, please contact us to verify the status of your order.
INSTALLATION
Where can the graphics and decals be installed?
Vinyl decals can be installed on any hard, smooth surface. The surface must be free of dirt, wax, oil and other residues. Some of the most common surfaces are glass, painted surfaces, plexiglass, fiberglass and plastic.
How do I install the decal?
Most of our products are easy enough for you to install by yourself, but some of the larger products may require an extra set of hands. If you are uncomfortable with installing the graphics, your local sign shop can install them for you for a fee. There are installation instructions on the website that you can print out, and there is a also a video that shows you step by step how to apply the decals.
Can I install my decal on the inside of the window?
Decals are designed to be applied to the outside of the window. If you want the decals reversed for inside application, please let us know when you place your order. During the checkout process there will be a box for Order Notes, please put "REVERSE FOR INSIDE APPLICATION" in this box so we know to reverse the image.
How do I remove air bubbles under my decal?
Most small air bubbles will dissipate on their own within 3 weeks of installation. If you get larger air bubbles in the decal, take a pin or razor blade and puncture the bubble to release the air. Then with the squeegee or your finger, work from the outside edges of the bubble and push the remaining air out.
How long do I need to wait after painting my vehicle to apply a decal?
We recommend allowing a minimum of 60 days after painting a vehicle to allow the paint to cure before installing decals to the painted surfaces. If the paint has not cured properly, the decal could permanently damage the painted surface.
MAINTENANCE
Can I wash or wax my car after installing decals?
Yes. Once your decal has been installed, you can wash and wax your vehicle as usual. Wash your decal whenever you wash your vehicle, and waxing over your decal can actually increase it's life expectancy.
What do I do to maintain my new decals?
You can keep your decals looking good by treating them the same as you treat your car. Wash them when you wash the car. Wax them when you wax the car. Do not use any harsh chemicals or abrasives on them. Use ice scrapers with care!

What payment types do you offer?
We use PayPal for payment processing. You may use most major credit cards through PayPal. We do not accept personal checks or CODs.
What if I need to make a change to my order?
VinylDecalStore.com wants you to be completely satisfied with your decal. If you need to make changes to your order, you may do so free of charge until the order has entered into the production process. Once it has entered the production process, changes can only be made by submitting a new order which will incur additional fees. VinylDecalStore.com will make every effort to change or cancel your order prior to production. However, the easiest way to prevent problems is to double check your proof before submitting an order. What if I need to cancel my order?
If you need to cancel your order you will be issued credit depending on the status of your order. Orders that have been received but not entered into the production process are entitled to a refund of 90% of your payment. Orders that are in production but not yet completed are entitled to a refund of 75% of your payment. Orders that have been completed but not yet mailed are entitled to a refund of shipping fees. Orders that have been completed and mailed are not entitled to a refund. VinylDecalStore.com will make every effort to change or cancel your order prior to production. What is your return policy?
Due to the custom nature of our products, all sales are final. If a product is faulty or damaged during shipping, please contact us within 30 days of the ship date to request a Return Authorization Number before returning your order. Please carefully review your proof before purchasing. If you need to cancel an order before it has been shipped, please review our Cancellation Policy.
